WebP Metadata
What metadata can WebP contain?
A WebP file can include an EXIF chunk and/or an XMP chunk, similar in content to what a JPEG might carry, though many WebP files exported for the web are stripped of metadata by the exporting tool before they ever reach our engine.
Removing metadata from WebP
When metadata is detected, our removal process produces a cleaned copy with the identified chunks removed.
