What happens when you upload a photo

Photo processing happens on our server, not in your browser. When you upload a photo to inspect or clean, the file is sent to our server, analyzed there, and — if you request removal — a cleaned copy is produced there too. We do not claim the file "never leaves your device"; it does, because that is how the analysis and removal actually work.

Retention

Uploaded files and any cleaned copies are kept only long enough to complete your request and let you download the result, and are automatically deleted after a short time (currently up to one hour). Download links are single-purpose tokens tied to that temporary file — once it expires or is deleted, the link no longer works and the file cannot be recovered through it.

What we don't do

We do not sell uploaded images, we do not use them for training or analytics purposes, and we do not share them with third parties. We do not run our own logging of uploaded files or their contents. We do not claim a specific security certification for this processing pipeline.

Server logs

Like most web servers, the infrastructure this site runs on may keep standard access logs (e.g. request timestamps and IP address) as part of normal server operation — this is infrastructure-level logging, not something our application code adds on top, and we do not use it to track individual users.

Third-party resources

Some pages load resources from third-party services: fonts from Google Fonts, and Bootstrap/jQuery libraries from the jsDelivr and jQuery CDNs. These requests can expose your IP address to those providers, the same way any embedded third-party resource does on most websites. If a photo contains GPS metadata, the map shown for that location is an embedded OpenStreetMap view, which means the coordinates are sent to OpenStreetMap's map tile servers to render that map — this only happens for the specific photo you're viewing, and only if GPS data is actually present.

Analytics

This site does not currently run any third-party analytics or tracking scripts (e.g. no Google Analytics). If that changes, this page will be updated to reflect it before it happens, not after.
