Selling something online

A photo taken at home can carry the coordinates of where it was taken, if location services were on. Check before you post it on a marketplace.

Sending a photo to someone you don't know

A client, a landlord, a stranger. A file sent directly usually keeps everything it was saved with, including date, device and sometimes location.

What it removes

Location, date, camera and author information (EXIF, IPTC and XMP fields) detected by our processing engine, shown to you before and after.

What it doesn't guarantee

Metadata removal protects against metadata exposure; it does not remove identifying information visible in the image itself (faces, signs, landmarks).

Your files

Your photo is uploaded to our server, processed there and deleted automatically within 1 hour — or immediately, with the "delete now" button on the result. We don't sell it or use it to train anything. Details in our privacy policy.

AI content credentials

Some AI tools embed a signed record of how an image was made (C2PA "Content Credentials"). Our C2PA Checker reads it without removing it. Note that removing metadata from a photo also removes this record.
